Description

C.J. Ashford is a British artist who was born in 1919 and is still (2015) painting. In 2010, he was elected Vice President of the Guild of Aviation Artists and was one of their founder members. His speciality is painting aircraft and he has paintings in the Royal Air Force Museum and Yorkshire Air museum. However, he also has a considerable reputation as a maritime artist. This work is one of a pair, the download for the companion pitce “LUSITANIA” is already available. Both ideal for framing. Download to memory stick and take to a print shop to print out on A3 size paper. Trim to size. Framed or unframed they would make a wonderful gift.

“TITANIC” was built by Harland and Wolff of Belfast, being launched on 31st May 1911. Maiden voyage.10th April, 1912. Collided with iceberg an sank night of 14th-15th April 1912.
