Description

I have been able to find very little information on Parkinson. He published his first book Structural Mechanics; A handbook for Engineers, Architects, and Students” in 1890 and in the same year, read a paper at the Institution of Civil Engineers “The Design of Railway Stations and Yards”. He took part in the discussions on a number of papers dealing with railway subjects at the “Civils” until 1929

Light Railway Construction” is a comprehensive guide the planning, surveying, building and operation of standard and narrow gauge light railways, not only in Britain but much useful information is given about undertaking such projects abroad.
