Description

What can one say? This is a beautifully designed and printed Art Nouveau Catalogue, issued in 1909 to one suspects highly valued customers – this was not a cheap item to produce. Over 200 different narrow gauge locomotives are illustrated in photogravure on art paper, backed up by tables of dimensions etc. Each page is perforated, so that it can be detached for reference. This copy turned up in New Zealand, presumably having been sent to an agent or railway out there, but no pages have been detached, and while the spine binding is worn, it is in very clean condition A wonderful reminder of what the British Loco Industry, in its full pomp could achieve.
