Between 2003 and 2005, I researched, wrote and illustrated three historic walks booklets for Southwark Council. All have long been out of print, although one of them was available as a PDF download from the council website for a time.   The other two booklets concerned themselves with “Shipyards, Granaries and Wharves” , and “inland “ Rotherhithe “Then and Now”. These last have already been made available in BTT, and are now joined by the “Transport, Industry and the Docks” booklet

Of course, in the decade which has passed since publication, there have been several changes to the topography and townscape.  There is no guarantee that the “Rights of Way” explored in this work are all still open. With that caveat, it is hoped that it will still be an agreeable and informative companion for an afternoon walk.
